Madden announced on May 19th he was entering the Transfer Portal and quickly became one of the nation's most coveted transfers.
The former Marshall walk-on took an official visit to Florida State before arriving at Notre Dame on Thursday.
The 6-foot-3, 313-pounder was named an AP second-team All-American in nine games last season.
PFF graded Madden out as one of the offensive linemen in the country in 2020 with a 92.5 overall grade. Madden's run blocking is his strength as PFF gave him a grade of 93.0, but his pass blocking wasn't bad as he didn't allow a sack or quarterback hit in 2020.
It’s a big addition for Notre Dame as it gives Jeff Quinn more flexibility on the interior of the offensive line as Madden joins a young cast of players in Rocco Spindler, Andrew Kristofic, Quinn Carroll and others.
